A £2 congestion charge could be introduced in Cardiff for non residents by 2024 as part of its future transport vision.

The scheme, costing £2 billion, will aim to reduce congestion and improve air quality in the Welsh Capital. Funding for the project may come from this system when applied to non Cardiff residents who drive into the city.

Clean Air Zones have been rejected by the council previously, in favour of investing in greener transport options. This includes increasing the number of electric vehicle charging points across the city.
