HMRC PUBLISHES NEW ADVISORY FUEL RATES TO TAKE EFFECT IN MARCH

The HMRC have released their latest advisory fuel rates which will come into force from 1st March.
The new reimbursement rate for a diesel car with an engine size of more than 2 litres will decrease from 14ppm to 13ppm. The rate for a diesel company car with an engine size between 1.6 and 2 litres will stay the same. Alongside the rate for a diesel car with an engine smaller than 1.6 litres.
There is also set to be a reduction of the reimbursement rate for a petrol company car with an engine size of more than 2 litres from 21ppm to 20ppm. Whilst the remaining petrol rates will remain unchanged.
All hybrid cars are to be treated as either petrol or diesel cars for AFR purposes. The advisory electricity rate for plug in cars will remain unchanged at 4ppm.
